‘Floris München’ is a conversational walk through the Glockenbach district, conceived by Gay Guide Anian Halder in collaboration with the Münchner Kammerspiele as a supporting programme for the production ‘Sauhund’. In the play, we accompany Flori through 1980s Munich – into a new life, a life in the city, and an openly gay life.

The one-hour tour, taking place before the performance, leads to places of queer life, activism and resistance within Munich’s urban landscape. Together with Gay Guide Anian, the district comes alive as a living archive: a place of lived history, political struggles and contemporary perspectives.

The urban space itself becomes a stage. “Floris München” offers a queer perspective on the city and enriches the theatre evening with an immediate, site-specific introduction to the themes of “Sauhund”.

Starting poing: AIDS Memorial at Sendlinger Tor.
