Stimmen

The performance places the history of the former Eglfing-Haar sanatorium and nursing home at the center of a collective act of remembrance. It reconstructs the systematic murder of the patients as well as the resistance they offered. After months of research, the young people confront the audience with pressing questions about complicity, moments of happiness, and how we deal with this legacy today. The production interweaves individual fates with an analysis of stigmatization and conformity. Through the direct physical and spatial relationship to the events, history is made immediately tangible in a shared “we,” while the performers and the audience together enter into a dialogue with the past.
