Eighty years after the end of the Nazi dictatorship, the 40 students in the middle school theater group reflect on what has been learned from history. They express their concerns about the current political situation and their worries about the global shift to the right in texts they wrote themselves, which were then woven into episodes from the young adult novel *Damals war es Friedrich* by Hans Peter Richter. Through numerous choreographies and group formations, with plenty of music, dance, and movement, the students’ reflections are illustrated and brought to life, making full use of the possibilities offered by such a large group.
