In collaboration with lecturer Ines Schneider and students Jakob, Lilian, Emmy, Friederike, Kayla, Josefine, and Sofiia from the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, a participatory discussion format is being developed that actively engages the audience in exploring the creation of the Jewish Chamber Orchestra’s concert biography of Paul Ben-Haim.

Paul Ben-Haim – A Concert Biography is an orchestral concert by the JCOM featuring works by Paul Ben-Haim and Danielle Lurie. Paul Ben-Haim was a Munich-born composer and conductor who emigrated to Tel Aviv in 1933, changed his name there, and contributed significantly to the development of a new Israeli classical music. The concert biography connects key moments in the composer’s life with contemporary reflection, featuring new works by Danielle Lurie, who draws inspiration from Ben-Haim’s life and work.

“Nachtgespräch” is produced in cooperation with the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts and the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich.
