In Memoriam Weber Max

For more than 50 years, Gerhard Polt has been observing people with curiosity and amazement. From this, the Bavarian comedian crafts his stage acts like no other, bringing to life long-suffering husbands, downtrodden mothers, megalomaniac local politicians, vehement motorists, Tyrolean hustlers or wayward clergymen, lending them his voice and body and, with them, his stunning stage presence. On 9 May, Gerhard Polt will bring his most iconic character back to life with a mix of old and new acts: Weber Max!

The musical accompaniment is provided by the Bavarian-Sumatran multi-instrumentalist and long-time collaborator of Gerhard Polt, Ardhi Engl.

He is known as an inventor of quirky instruments, capable of coaxing highly musical magic from the simplest of objects. Transcending all labels of serious and popular music, he takes his audience on an entertaining and virtuosic journey around the world, in which the familiar and the unusual, classical, experimental and even oriental music blend into unmistakable sonic delights.
