Album release concert for a humanistic manifesto for warmth, diversity, utopia, and resonant electricity.

Created in the Land of the Capitalistic Wirtschaftswunder.

Proof that even machines can dream—when humans play them.

“Trautonium Foundation” is Peter Pichler’s visionary approach to placing an instrument of the early electronic avant-garde in the middle of the sound world of the 21st century – not as a museum exhibit, but as a rebellious, living pop machine. The album asks the question: What would pop music have sounded like if the Trautonium had prevailed as the leading instrument instead of the synthesizer? Instead of well-tempered uniformity, music emerges from gliding sounds, subharmonic chords, free tempos, and expressive pitches—an alternative music history that seems familiar and yet completely foreign. It sounds like pop from a future that never happened. At the same time, the project is a conscious counterpoint to today’s technocratic, algorithmically optimized music culture: against dreary uniformity, against soulless perfection, and for electronics that breathe, fluctuate, sing, and are allowed to fail.

The Trautonium Foundation sees itself explicitly as a musical peace project. Electronic music as a universal language—beyond nation, market, and algorithm. Instrumentation & voices: Arabic lute, Brazilian percussion, electric guitar, banjo, tuba, Hebrew and Arabic voices, Italian Licio singing, East German text fragments, Russian proclamations are all carried by the Mixturtrautonium – never well-tempered, free in tempo, pitch, and thought. The result is music that does not smooth over cultural fragments, but deliberately juxtaposes them – as a sounding utopia of understanding.
