The first edition of WET, a new queer, recurring format by Anna Gesa-Raija Lappe at Werkraum – featuring JUICE by River Roux. Afterwards, WET transforms into a party with TENDER COUSINS x LOST GIRLS.

WET is an evening that focuses on queer perspectives. WET brings together artists, performances, readings, and participatory projects and formats from Munich. Raw, tender, radical. Here, people play, read, sing, dance, drink, and celebrate. A DYKE*SPACE for everyone who has been waiting so long for it.

DYKES* from and in Munich, gather! WET is a space for lesbians, trans women and trans men, transmasculine and transfeminine people, non-binary, agender, intersex and cis women. Friends and allies are welcome, as long as everyone treats each other with respect. Have fun!

WET will be wet today. In two very different ways

Tears of anger and sweat of joy. How do we share both in one evening? How do we listen to stories that move us or make us angry – and then dance? How do we find quiet corners to talk or not talk? Let’s find out.

River Roux’s guest performance JUICE confronts the categorization of intersex, unreadable, and disobedient bodies. River Roux enters a transparent room. Whether in a museum, strip club, or observatory, the gazes directed at her oscillate between desire and disgust, between attraction and shame. Roux explores the fascination with bodies in between: What is a “natural” body, what is a rebellious body? And who is allowed to exist beyond fetish?

Afterwards, TENDER COUSINS x LOST GIRLS will be playing the finest FLINTA* dance music in the Werkraum. Hearts and muscles are warm and the stage is ready to be danced on.
