Open Casting Call: Operation Operette!

Are you aged between 15 and 19 and keen to take part in a musical theatre production? Have you always wanted to be on stage, singing, dancing and acting? Then you’ve come to the right place!

We’re looking for young people keen to bring a newly written and composed musical theatre piece to life on stage! We’re seeking singers and actors with a passion for theatre and music – whether you’d like to sing in the choir or are interested in a bigger role, please do get in touch.

What’s it about?

The play is about an AI that has seized world domination and then disappears overnight. Who switched it off? What does this mean for those left behind? A group of young people come together and discuss how – and whether – they should restore order, and what role art, friendship and a sense of community play.

The Programme

In weekly rehearsals with music and theatre professionals, we will work together on the production, which will be performed in June 2027 at the Münchner Kammerspiele, accompanied by the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich.

· When and where: From October 2026 to June 2027, Saturdays 10:00 – 14:00, Münchner Kammerspiele (the exact rehearsal schedule will be sent to all applicants).
· Language: The working languages are German and English.
· Cost: Participation is free of charge.

Auditions

Auditions will take place at the end of September. Once you have registered, we will let you know your exact time slot and all further details regarding preparation.
