National Socialism continues to influence contemporary society in many ways. Many people today wonder what roles their family members, acquaintances, colleagues, or club members played during this period. Those who embark on research are not always in possession of extensive documentation. Sometimes family stories provide initial clues. Some begin their search without any prior knowledge. This is also possible, as archives and institutions now offer numerous opportunities to pursue one’s own questions.

But how do I obtain the information I need? And how should the results be interpreted? Participants can address these questions in the workshop with professional guidance and support. Historian Johannes Spohr will lead the day, providing basics, suggestions, and tips, and addressing individual questions about research.

The workshop is limited to 15 participants.

Supported with funds from the ‘Archiv Salamander’ cataloguing and mediation project of the Monacensia in the Hildebrandhaus under the patronage of Dieter Reiter.
