Marcos Valle is a legend. He has shaped the sound of Brazilian pop for over six decades. He has collaborated with Leon Ware, Sarah Vaughan, and Chicago. His music has been sampled by Jay Z, Childish Gambino, Madlib, and Kaytranada. Frank Sinatra, Bebel Gilberto, Peki Momés, and even former Spice Girl Emma Bunton have performed his songs. From samba and bossa nova to pop with a psychedelic touch and beach boogie: we are talking about one of the most important composers, arrangers, songwriters, and performers in Brazil’s already rich musical history. We rave about his stylistic diversity and his thirst for innovation. Because it permeates his music to this day. Marcos Valle is far from finished: at 82, he is turning his back on his beloved beach once again and taking a dip in the crowd. On a European tour that will take him and his band to twenty cities. Who wants to miss that?
