On the 30th anniversary of the end of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the singer brings together poets and musicians on a special album
Fundamental Interactions is a cooperative project by musician and performer Jelena Kuljić. It brings together an international musical line-up with poets from the former Yugoslavia. In addition to her own texts, she also uses the poems of Marko Pogačar and Olja Savičević Jovančević from Croatia, Selma Asotić and Jasna Šamić from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Dragana Mladenović from Serbia. Together with Olga Reznichenko (RUS), Christian Lillinger (DE), Kalle Kalima (FL) and Tim Dahl (USA), they are creating an extraordinary music project that questions borders both geographically and musically. The focus is on the things that connect us, that make us similar. Music is created in the field of tension between the concept of a home, between language and identity: improvisation, contemporary electronic music, jazz, progressive rock, poetry and avant-garde unite in this unique project. The album will be released in fall 2025 and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the end of the war in Bosnia.
