Do you find the world of manga and comics interesting, but don’t know where to start? The Habibi Kiosk can help you.

Mangas, animes and graphic novels have become an integral part of our everyday lives. Previously dismissed as childish and uninteresting, they have undergone an image change in recent years. Today, stories told in comic form are everywhere — on the Internet, in bookstores, on streaming services, in cinemas, in fashion and everywhere else where people express themselves creatively. They are an integral part of pop culture - and often we don’t even know that the stories that inspire us have their origins there.

That’s why the interest in creating your own work has become all the greater! We invite you to the Habibi Kiosk for a beginner-friendly drawing workshop with animator, illustrator and graphic novelist Berrin Jost. Here you will have the opportunity to draw your own character and get one step closer to your own graphic novel.

In a discussion afterwards, we will take a look at Berrin’s work, the creation of a graphic novel and how people ultimately find out about new works. How do you find your way around a scene that is now so big?

You can register for the workshop until June 20 at the following address: j.kruse@kammerspiele.de
And for those who didn’t make it to the workshop: You can also attend the talk afterwards without registering!
