Roll out the sleeping mats, the cult night is returning!
For the fourth time, musicians, DJs and the audience will explore the world between wakefulness and sleep together. Falling asleep in the theater is not embarrassing today - in fact, it is expressly encouraged! From 23:00, the dance floor will be full of sleeping mats and sleeping bags anyway.
Whether awake or asleep: those who dream today climb the roof of our existence. And listen to concerts, DJ sets, stories, inspirations, staircase dreams, rarely heard instruments, snoring neighbors, records, nature recordings, interventions and visions. Embrace the sleep sausage and sip magic potion, let it sink in.
The following legends and night owls will be there: Anadol comes from Istanbul. Her albums on the Pingipung label are celebrated like a cult. And yet she has so far turned down every live performance. Because she prefers to play psychoacoustic DJ sets and never anything that might remind you of her records! Reproduction is not her thing. However, her radiophonic mixes raise the Lucid Dream Level (L.T.L.) to immeasurable heights. The Witches of Westend come from Munich. That’s what the name tells us. Because only Munich’s Westend has a choir that sounds otherworldly. Midori Hirano’s discography is extensive, but she has at least seven albums of beautifully shaped ambient piano music to her name. With simple sounds she builds, in a double sense, a dream foundation for our dozing audience. Zeltronic tries its hand at a musical realization of a cross between words that gives the album its name. The Munich musician Enik reads real staircase dreams for all those who, in the year 2025, still wonder whether dreams are “real”.
An absolute cosmopolitan city like Munich has numerous celebrities and legends to offer, on Maximilianstrasse anyway. Those who don’t care about celebrities are more likely to stick with Limpe Fuchs. She has been exploring the sound of the piano for more than 70 years. Born in 1941, the composer of acoustic and visual happenings has been a fixed star of sound art since the 1960s. However, she remained a secret to most Munich residents. Today, in a duo with Caspar Lesjak and his analog synthesizer, she plays her way at least into the subconscious.
“The interesting thing about dreams is the society that interprets them.” (Peter Oberloher)
