PATRICE: THE MOVIE, a film by Ted Passon — PATRICE: THE MOVIE wins the all inclusive award - prize for inclusive documentary film productions at DOK.fest München 2025
This year, DOK.fest München is presenting the all inclusive award for documentary film productions by filmmakers with disabilities and inclusive film teams for the first time. The prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, is sponsored by the Werksviertel-Mitte Foundation and goes to the documentary PATRICE: THE MOVIE by Ted Passon.
Patrice and Gary want to get married. But as a couple with disabilities, their state benefits are in danger of being cut off. Supported by loyal friends, they face up to the unfair law and other challenges. A life-affirming film about love, equality and breaking down barriers in our society.
Behind the production of PATRICE: THE MOVIE is a team of filmmakers with and without disabilities.
We cordially invite you to the award ceremony with film screening and subsequent champagne reception in the Therese-Giehse-Halle.
