Auf nach Woanders oder doch nicht

We want to “go somewhere else”, but what does that actually mean? Where does this motivation come from and what are we fleeing from? Is it the fear of being left behind forever or the hatred we experience in our world? Is it parties like the AfD or convicted criminals in world politics? Is it racism, sexism or ableism, or is the desire to “go somewhere else” perhaps not so much about fleeing, but much more about finding? About hoping for a new life, one that is exciting and somehow more colorful?
Like us, most people long for openness, compassion, love, a passion or sometimes just the sea. And to meet all of this on this journey, theater helps us, because theater is education for us. An opportunity to experience the thoughts and opinions of others and ourselves. To meet ourselves and others on new levels, in the most diverse ways. But for us, theater is not just that, it is also a space for expressing feelings and creativity. And we can only do this together, only in this way can we understand each other. It takes PEOPLE to change things, and this is where we find them. On, behind, above and sometimes even under the stage.
Here we are, the Theater AG, and we need you. Your opinions and your ideas, your input and your “elsewhere”.
