#3: Immigration office, asylum and deportation
Guests: Tahsin Mirza & Ellisprincewhite
The new talk show by podcaster and author Burak Yılmaz is entering its third round. With the Bundestag elections in sight, Burak devotes the January edition to the all-time favorite topics of German politicians during the election campaign: asylum and deportation. And what role does the immigration authority actually play as a link between decision-makers and those affected? He has invited comedian Tahsin Mirza to talk about this. Munich-based Ellisprincewhite will complete the panel as a music act.
Tahsin Mirza was born and raised as a Yazidi in Shingal, Iraq. He has been living in Germany for eight years, where he performs stand-up comedy, theater projects and anti-racism work as a budding theater educator. He is also the protagonist of the ARD documentary “Bêmal-Heimatlos - 10 Jahre Völkermord an den Jesiden” by Düzen Tekkal, a journalist and documentary filmmaker, and David Körzdörfer, a filmmaker and director.
Osagie Airen, better known as Ellisprincewhite, is an independent musician and producer from Munich. The versatile singer masters various musical genres such as reggae, hip-hop, dancehall and afrobeat. His dynamic voice and energetic performances have earned him a special reputation in the music industry. Ellisprincewhite was born in Warri, Delta State, and grew up as the fifth of eight children in Effurun, Warri.
