As part of the video installation “No Future Hope” in the Lothringer 13 Halle, investigative journalist Maria Christoph visits us in the Habibi Kiosk. Inspired by the work of Nina E. Schönefeld, who deals with current political, economic and social issues, we pose the question of a new self-image and the relevance of investigative work.

Maria Christoph, who works for “paper trail media”, i.e. Der Spiegel and ZDF, talks to Stefanie Groth about current forms of investigative journalism.

An insight into the daily work and why cross-border cooperation between media is so important, especially when it comes to complex topics: How do you investigate an international pharmaceutical giant that has probably driven up prescriptions for opioid painkillers worldwide? Why does it take journalists from different countries to investigate the killings of media professionals in Gaza?
