A theatrical assembly "In the name of freedom" in a dialog between science, music and audience
How free are we? And who are we?
We are bringing the biggest project of the Science Year 2024 to Munich. The “In the Name of Freedom” project is organizing theater gatherings at many theaters in Germany. On December 5, sociologist Armin Nassehi from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität will present his ideas on freedom on stage at the Kammerspiele. The singer and activist Gündalein and a group of young people will respond musically to his academic reflections.
Afterwards, you are invited to debate fundamental aspects of freedom. In the “fishbowl” format, you can enter into conversation with the participants from science and art at eye level – or simply continue listening. Afterwards, you will discuss with each other in table discussions. By listening and communicating with each other, the theater becomes a place of public negotiation, in the tradition of European theater.
