Radio play pre-listening in the presence of the radio play team
The radio play Unter Uns tells a piece of German-Jewish post-war history based on a fictitious Munich nightclub, Café Willkür. Every Friday in 1970, a Jewish clique around 21-year-old Michael meets in this nightclub. Michael is a well-behaved son, he is studying medicine and helps out in his parents’ Jewish bistro. At the weekend, however, he lives out his youth, loves music, dancing, his motorcycle and girls. But big politics also cast a shadow over his nightlife: The repression mechanisms of post-war society are particularly troublesome for Michael as a young Jew. In addition, Palestinian terrorists carry out several attacks on Jews and Jewish institutions in 1970. Not an easy time for a young man caught between university, a bistro, overprotective parents - and, more recently, Ulla in love.
