Musical theater performance by and with Meo Wulf
Is drag misogynistic? Can I turn children lesbian? Where’s my cat?
Sally is preparing for her drag reading for “five-year-olds and up” and wants to do everything right. She lives alone and should be tidying up, but just doesn’t have the time. She has just finished putting on her make-up when she realizes that she is a very good person in a very bad town. Thoughts about sexuality and art stop her from getting ready when she actually wanted to practise reading aloud.
This entertaining and shrill theater performance by and with bird of paradise Meo Wulf accompanies a drag queen to the edge of her despair. Fast and funny, we ride through the Habibi Kiosk together with music and lipsyncs until the suitcase is packed and the blood flows.
Meo Wulf is a fascinating drag artist from Hamburg, Vienna and Berlin who captivates audiences with her cheeky performances. Enjoy the drag.
Note: We recommend a minimum age of 18 years to attend the performance.
The performance was developed for the Roter Salon at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, where it premiered on 05.01.2024.
