Munich celebrates 75 years of the Basic Law
300 pupils make our fundamental rights audible and visible
On May 15, young people’s voices for strengthening democracy will be heard and seen when 300 students from various schools come together in Munich city center.
What is the first part of the fundamental rights about? What do they have to do with me?
How can I stand up for human dignity, freedom and equality on a daily basis? When am I protected by the state, and do I always feel protected? What about justice and equality in society?
The young people’s examination of the 19 fundamental rights leads to an exploration of an article that is important to them. Together with artists, they will work creatively on this article and bring it to Sendlinger Strasse as a station on the “Walk of Democracy”.
The following schools and artists are taking part:
Städt. Adolf-Weber-Gymnasium // Städt. Artur-Kutscher-Realschule // Städt. Berufsschule zur Berufsintegration // Städt. Berufsschule für Versicherungs - und Personalwesen // Grundschule an der Herrnstrasse // Erzbischöfliches Maria-Ward-Gymnasium Nymphenburg // Mittelschule an der Simmernstrasse // Mittelschule an der Alphonsstrasse // Mittelschule an der Guardinistrasse // Oberlandschulen Weilheim // Städt.
