The City is Us! Sharing Munich Stories

Your city stories as part of the "What is the City NOW?" festival

Young people between the ages of 16 and 27 tell their stories about Munich. What do you associate with the city of Munich? What is your favorite place and what would you like to change in this city?

From April 8 to June 23, we will meet regularly to explore the city, collect stories and transform them into art. We will get to know the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus (museum), the Münchner Kammerspiele (municipal theater) and the Refugio art workshop and take a look behind the scenes.

On June 23, the results will be presented on the forecourt of the Lenbachhaus as part of the “What is the City NOW?” festival. The bicycle cinema Ciné Velo City, a DJ set “Musik für uns” by Booty Carrell and the mobile Habibi Kiosk K67 will also be there. Come and see us! We look forward to seeing you!

Festival with presentation
Workshop presentation

For two months, young people will (re)discover Munich together and remember, tell stories and try things out. The results of these workshops will be presented on the forecourt of the Lenbachhaus together with K67: Habibi Trafika, the DJ set "Musik für uns" by Booty Carrell, an open stage and the CINE VELO CITÉ in cooperation with Kino Asyl and films about arriving in Munich. Come, take a seat, visit the exhibition in the Lenbachhaus "Orhan Pamuk. The Consolation of Things", talk about your Munich and let yourself be surprised. Snacks and refreshments will be provided!
