Alfred Dorfer – Gleich

Alfred Dorfer is currently touring with his eighth solo show, “Gleich”, and is returning to the Münchner Kammerspiele.

He undergoes a change of identity with the help of fake Wikipedia entries, tells tales of guardian angels serving small beers, or of medical students playing baseball with lower leg bones during a dissection class. The satirist ponders rainforest showers just as much as he does fairy tales. “Where were we? With the sunflowers. In my first mime class, we had to act as sunflowers. I was a good sunflower.”

With charming confidence and plenty of self-deprecating humour, the Viennese satirist Alfred Dorfer, a keen observer of our everyday lives, takes aim at social trends as a rhetorical light-footed jester. He plays with his audience in an entertaining and skilful manner. Nothing and no one is safe from his unexpected trains of thought.

The mental acrobat Alfred Dorfer is legendary for his scathing humour and his merciless gaze, and has found his personal style in his characteristic one-man theatre, which many regard as incomparable. This view was shared by the jury members of the German Cabaret Award, the German and Bavarian Cabaret Awards, with which he was honoured, as well as the Swiss Cabaret Award Cornichon. He also has experience as an actor, author, director and long-standing late-night talk show host.
