If there was such a thing as a place to be last year, it was the Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin on this one weekend in June: it was filled to bursting with the nicest people. No wonder - it was the İÇ İÇE Festival for New Anatolian Music. This in turn also functions as a kind of non-binary Woodstock festival. It gathers utopians in front of and on stage. İÇ İÇE means “interwoven” and that is an idea that we are now spinning all the way to Munich. We are happy to present the İÇ İÇE Festival together with Import Export and the Ausarten Festival from 13-15 July. The festival will culminate in a glittering night of music at the Kammerspiele: Nalan and band, Berlin’s disco queen king Anthony Hüseyin and the Istanbul archive beatmaker Grup Ses will be playing. There will also be a performance and workshop with Prince Emrah, a discourse programme in the Habibi Kiosk, more walk-in performances, DJ sets and much more!
