​Lot Vekemans

Lot Vekemans, was born in Oss, Netherlands, in 1965. She studied social geography at the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht. Then she underwent a training to become a playwright at the Academy for Authors 't Colofon in Amsterdam. Since 1995 she has worked as author for the theater. In 2004 she founded her own theater group Stiftung M.A.M. (Dutch for “Several Answers Possible”). Lot Vekemans has received numerous prizes for her plays. She was awarded the Taalunie Toneelschrijfprijs for her play “Poison”, which was staged at the Münchner Kammerspiele in 2011 under the direction of Johan Simons. Currently her work “Judas” (directed by Johan Simons, 2012) is on the program.
