Julia Windischbauer was born in Linz, Upper Austria, in 1996. In 2016 she started her studies in acting at the Otto Falckenberg Schule. Before her training she gained experience at the Musical Theatre Academy Puchenau and took part at theatre clubs at Landestheater Linz and „Junge
Burg“ in Vienna. During her studies she worked with Caroline Kapp („nineelevensaidwho“, Münchner Volkstheater),
Moritz Hauthaler („Das Schloss“) und Janet Stornowski („Denn
wir werden uns glänzend…“) amongst others. As part of a Masterclass by Nicola Hümpel she participated in the project „heaven in pity“ which was performed at the Münchner Kammerspiele and the radialsystem Berlin.
In 2019 she receives the O.E. Hasse-Preis for outstanding talent by the Akademie der Künste.
Since April 2019 Julia Windischbauer is a permanent member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble.
