Jochen Noch


Jochen Noch was born in Leipzig in 1956. After undergoing training as postal worker, he attended the Hans Otto Drama School in Leipzig from 1975 to 1983. From 1983 to 1988 he had an engagement with the Neue Theater in Halle/Saale, from 1988 to 2001 he belonged to the ensemble of the Schauspiel Leipzig, where he performed in productions by Wolfgang Engel, Karin Henkel, Konstanze Lauterbach, Heiner Müller, Peter Sodann, Michael Thalheimer and others.

Since 2001 Jochen Noch has been a permanent member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble, where he recently appeared in “A Streetcar Named Desire” (directed by Sebastian Nübling, 2010), “Orpheus steigt herab” (directed by Sebastian Nübling, 2012), “Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald” (directed by Stephan Kimmig, 2014) and “Camino Real” (directed by Sebastian Nübling, 2015). Currently he can be seen in “Maria Stuart” (directed by Andreas Kriegenburg, 2015). Since 2007 Jochen Noch has been director of the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich.
