Jessica Glause


Born in 1980. Lives in Munich. Jessica studied cultural sciences and aesthetic practice at the University of Hildesheim. As a director, she specialized in contemporary drama, creating pieces for the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Bavarian State Opera, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Münchner Kammerspiele, Theater Freiburg, Volkstheater Munich and Volkstheater Wien. Her production 'Dear Moldova' produced with author Nicoleta Esinencu, was invited to numerous festivals, such as the Radikal Jung (2014) and the Festival Politik im freien Theater in Freiburg. It won the Audience Award of the German-European Bürgerbühnenfestivals at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden in 2014. In 2015, her production 'And now the world!' by Sibylle Berg won the Audience Award at Radikal Jung Festival. Her music theater production 'Noah' in 2017 with 40 young people with and without escape experience at the Bavarian State Opera received was highly acclaimed. She is currently continuing her work with (non-) refugee/migrant actors at the Bavarian State Opera with a new production MOSES.
