Florentina Holzinger studied choreography at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO), which is affiliated with the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. She has had fellowships at danceWEB (2008) and ImPulsTanz (2011) in Vienna. Her diploma thesis, the solo project “Silk”, was awarded the Prix Jardin d’Europe in 2012 within the framework of the ImPulsTanz festival. As a result of her close collaboration with the choreographer Vincent Riebeek, a trilogy with the works “Kein Applaus für Scheiße” (2012), “Spirit” (2012) and “Wellness” (2013) was created. To this day, they are shown at festivals around the world, under the touring management of the CAMPO production company from Gent. With “Agon” (2014) and “Recovery” (2015), she released two more solo works that are closely related to each other. “Schönheitsabend” (2015) is the most recent artistic result of her collaboration with Vincent Riebeek. Florentina Holzinger is a co-author of the online series “Body and Freedom” (2016), which was recorded at the Foreign Affairs festival. She was recently a resident at the International Choreographic Arts Center ICK Amsterdam. As a result of this stay, a new work with the title “Apollon” has been created, which will be co-produced by the Münchner Kammerspiele.
