Edmund Telgenkämper, born in Gladbeck/Westphalia in 1968, pursued his training as actor at the University for Music and Theater in Hanover and had his debut at the Theater Basel. From 1993 to 1998 he had his first permanent engagement at the Deutsche Schauspielhaus Hamburg. Subsequently he worked freelance for two years until he became a member of the ensemble of the Burgtheater Wien in 2000. In 2003 he moved to the Theater Basel; from 2006 to 2014/15 he was a permanent member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble. Here he appeared in “Der Prozess” (directed by Andreas Kriegenburg, 2008), “Satansbraten” (directed by Stefan Pucher, 2012), “Fegefeuer in Ingolstadt” (directed by Susanne Kennedy, 2013) as well as most recently in “Buch (5 Ingredientes de la vida)” (directed by Armin Petras, 2015), and other plays.
